2026 CHARITY PARTNER

Sepsis - the body’s extreme response to infection - is a life-threatening condition that requires urgent medical attention. It is the primary cause of preventable death worldwide. In the UK alone, sepsis kills around 50,000 people every year - which equates to more deaths than from breast, bowel, and prostate cancer combined.

Sepsis Research FEAT is the UK’s leading sepsis research charity, working with top researchers around the world to understand the processes that lead to sepsis and to develop faster diagnostics and innovative treatments that save lives and improve outcomes. Central to its mission is raising awareness of the urgent need for more research into this life-threatening condition, using powerful campaigns and real-life stories to highlight both the human impact of sepsis and the critical gaps that research must addresss.

Sepsis Research FEAT was founded in 2013 by Craig Stobo after he suddenly lost his wife Fiona and their unborn daughter to sepsis. After his own devastating loss, Craig pledged to shine a light on sepsis to find better diagnostics and treatments. www.sepsisresearch.org.uk
